Who wouldn’t want a pair of these for their little?? 2

When it comes to shoes, I am one to check out many options not only for myself, but also for my whole family. My most awesome friend told me about these great little moccasins that I just had to check out, so here we are!

Freshly-Picked-MoccsWhen I first went to the Freshly Picked website, I was kind of taken aback at how many awesome options they had available. To be honest, no one could possibly go to their site and be happy with just one pair… I wanted them ALL!!!

There are close to 100 styles to choose from and not only do they cater to our little ones, Moma’s, they also cater to us!! How awesome is that?!

They have a line of clothing and backpacks as well that are totally adorbs. They even carry “Bringing Baby Home” bags that could be that perfect gift for a new or expectant mom.

About the shoes:

All of the Freshly Picked Moccasins are made with leather, and crafted to be the perfect shoe for your little one whether they are crawling walking or running.

They have an elastic band just under the tongue to help hold the shoe on your child’s feet, and to help keep them from flopping around and becoming a tripping hazard.

They are made with the most care and precision any mom could ask for, and they are extremely durable and seem to be very comfy. My little guy loves his! I would love to have a pair for every outfit, but let’s be realistic here, NO Moma would have storage space left if we all did that, am I right?

Overall, I absolutely love them and would definitely recommend buying at least one pair for your little ones. I cannot promise, however, that you will not buy more (they are kind of great).

About the maker of these shoes:

Susan Petersen started making baby moccasins in 2009 after becoming frustrated by the lack of well-designed baby shoes. Using her second child, Gus, as a mocc-tester, and a bag of scrap leather she picked up at a yard sale, she began experimenting with designs. Working at her kitchen table, on a shoestring budget, Susan persisted through several attempts until she had created a pair of moccasins that not only looked adorable on Gus’ chubby little feet, but stayed on his feet as well.

Since then the moccasins have gone through about six design changes. Each change has perfected the look and the fit of the soft-soled shoe. The moccasins you purchase today are durable, well designed, and most importantly: stay on your child’s foot.

Money was tight at the time Susan started and in order to earn money to start her business she got resourceful. Her brother owns a window installation business and in the summer of 2009 she convinced him to let her keep the old windows that he was removing from the houses. She spent a whole summer banging the glass out of the windows because they were encased in aluminum frames. At the end of the summer she took the aluminum window frames to the scrap yard and recycled them to get money. She made $200 dollars and with that literal sweat equity, she started her business.

Each pair of moccasins, whether being shipped to the rich and famous (or at least their kids), or shipped across town, are made with care, perfection and a love for the little feet they are intended for.
