Tragedies by the Masses 21

We are only half way through the year and it seems that 2016 is becoming a record year for shootings of all kinds. From the attack in Paris, the shooting in Texas, the mass murders in Orlando, and now the police shootings in Baton Rouge and all the shootings in between, too many people have lost their lives much too soon.

These deaths are all tragedies and should have never happened. One of my closest friends lost many  people she knows and cares for in the Orlando massacre, and she used to hang out at the exact nightclub that all of this took place. She could have been one of those beautiful lives lost that night.

Also, my brother-in-law is a police officer, img_1169536238_15045_1337032012_mod_320_213so you can imagine my stress when I think about those out there seeking revenge on unsuspecting officers of the law. Yes, I agree there are lots of bad cops, but there are also amazing cops that will go out of their way to help people if given a chance and not judged by the actions of others. They are simply doing their jobs and trying to protect the public. Please let them, and remember that they too have mother’s, fathers, sisters, brothers, and children waiting on them to come home.

I, personally, fear for the future of my children because of all the madness we see in the media and horrible stories in the news. I fear for the safety of my community because both police and upstanding citizens alike cannot leave home with the surety that they will see their families again. And I am saddened for the families that have lost a loved one due to the ignorance or inconsideration of those holding the weapons in these horrific events that seem to be happening almost daily!

429240_officer_funeral_554-1024x682I cannot fathom what our beautiful country will be 10 years from now but I know that if things get much worse that there will be no refuge for anyone as times are most definitely changing and people are becoming more hostile in every way.

I, in no way, condone violence but I am also one that will advocate for gun rights in any circumstance as it is our 2nd Amendment, American birthright. And I  also believe that more good people with guns (and the knowledge to use them as they were intended and the knowledge to use them safely) can always stop bad people with guns. Taking guns away from those that have obtained them legally, and use them properly isn’t going to make it any harder for that criminal that wants to shoot up a school, supermarket, movie theater, or nightclub to find them, because when a criminal wants something they almost always find a way to get it no matter the cost.

It really is a sad day when I am scared to go into my own yard, take my children to the park, to see a movie, or go out to eat because of all the violence we as a nation, as a country, and as a world face each and every day. I hope we can stop all of this nonsense, and get back to uplifting one another, and making positive changes in this place we all have to share and make it better for future generations. They depend on us to show them the way, and leading by example is the ONLY way to make a REAL change!!

Let’s make ALL live matter again!

The whole thing makes me sad. I am currently (tonight in fact) am experiencing a situation that can become very volatile quickly. The stuff needs to stop.

I agree, all the nonsense, fighting and killing for no real reason is insane. I am so tired of seeing it in the news. Honestly if you think about protests back in the 60’s and 70’s they were nothing like today. What is happening today isn’t fighting for a cause it is senseless mayhem and causes more issues than helping resolve them 🙁

Oh, so much hatred in our world today. It seems that anyone can go crazy. Stay safe everyone. This saddens me.
